The SiteMap
What is a SiteMap?
A SiteMap is, as its translation says, a Map of our website, from which we can reach any page of our website, and we will also help search engines to index the content and not miss a single word.
Elements for a SiteMap
- The file sitemap.web is an XML document which outlines a tree of nodes describing the URL and Title of each page:

- Components in VS2005
- SiteMapPath, ideal to put it at the top of the MasterPage, and know where we are at all times while browsing
- Menu, in case we prefer a drop-down menu and go directly to each page.
- TreeView, to capture it on one page and give the complete and extended list of our entire site.
- SiteMap: In addition, if we want to access its location on our map on any page by code, we can do so with the following objects, which do not even need to be described since their name says it all.
- SiteMap.RootNode
- SiteMap.CurrentNode
- SiteMap.CurrentNode.ParentNode
Each of them with their Title and Url values (Ex: SiteMap.RootNode.Url, SiteMap.CurrentNode.Title, )
